Privacy Policy
In short
- Javori does not require an account. There's nothing to sign up for.
- Your symptom check history, calculator results, and health trackers stay on your device only — we never see them, and you can clear them anytime in the app.
- What you type during a symptom check is sent to our server to generate a response (and, when live AI processing is enabled, to Anthropic's API) — but we don't keep that text afterward. We log only the length of your message, a timestamp, and which safety rules fired, never the content.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising or tracking SDKs.
- Javori gives general health information and triage guidance. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace a healthcare professional.
01 Who we are
Javori ("we," "us," "our") is a symptom-check and triage-guidance app. It helps you understand how soon you might want to seek care for your symptoms, and gives general wellness information through its Health Calculators and First Aid sections. Javori does not diagnose conditions and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. If you think you're having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately — don't wait on the app.
This policy covers the Javori mobile app and the API it talks to. It does not cover any other site or service, including the App Store itself, which has its own privacy practices.
02 What we collect
Information you provide
- Symptom check conversations — what you type during a check, so the app can ask follow-up questions and assess urgency.
- Optional context — age band, pregnancy status, or similar details, if you choose to share them, used only to apply the app's safety rules (for example, routing under-18 users toward in-person care).
- Health Calculator inputs and results — things like weight, height, heart rate, or blood pressure you enter to get a calculation.
- Tracked health records — entries you choose to save over time: weight logs, mood, allergies, medications you record as taken, cycle dates, and similar.
- Disclaimer acceptance — a timestamp recording that you accepted the app's first-use disclaimer.
- Content reports — if you use "Report" on one of the app's responses, we receive that response's text, the reason you chose, and the session identifier. Your own messages are not included.
Information we collect automatically
- An anonymous device identifier — a random ID (on Android, the app-specific Android ID) used only to count your free symptom checks and to know when your free calculator period ends. With it we store the date you first used Javori and how many free checks you've used. It isn't linked to your name, email, or the content of your checks.
- Subscription status — if you subscribe to Javori Plus, your anonymous RevenueCat user ID lets our server confirm your subscription so your checks aren't limited.
Javori does not integrate any analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDK as of this policy's last update. If that changes, we'll update this section and the app's version history before it ships.
03 How we use it
- Triage guidance
- Your symptom-check messages are sent to the Javori API to generate the next question or final result. When live AI processing is configured, that request is also sent to Anthropic's Claude API to help generate the response; otherwise a deterministic offline fallback is used. A fixed, independent rule engine screens every message for emergency warning signs before any of this — it can only escalate the result, never downgrade it.
- Calculators
- Every Health Calculator runs entirely on your device. The numbers you enter are never sent anywhere.
- Your history & trackers
- Saved checks, calculator history, and tracked health records are stored locally on your device so you can review trends over time. We don't have a copy.
- Safety & audit logging
- Our server keeps a minimal audit record of each triage decision: a session identifier, timestamp, which prompt version was used, how many turns the conversation took, whether the response came from live AI or the offline fallback, which red-flag safety rules (if any) fired, the final urgency level, and the character count of what you wrote. We do not log the content of your messages — only their length.
04 Where your data lives
- On your device
- Symptom check history (most recent 50), calculator tracking history, cycle dates, and your disclaimer acceptance — stored locally via your device's standard app storage. This data is removed if you clear it in-app or uninstall Javori.
- On our servers
- Only the audit metadata described above, any content reports you send, and your device's free-check counts (kept while you use the app), in a database (or a log file where a database isn't configured). Your symptom-check conversation text is processed to generate a response and is not retained afterward.
05 Third parties
We work with a small number of service providers to run Javori:
- Anthropic — processes your symptom-check conversation to help generate triage guidance, when live AI processing is enabled.
- Our hosting and database providers — run the Javori API and store the audit log described in Section 3.
- RevenueCat and Apple — if you purchase Javori Plus, Apple's In-App Purchase system processes that payment and RevenueCat manages subscription status; we receive confirmation that a purchase was made, not your payment details.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertisers.
06 Your controls
- Clear your history — the History screen has a "Clear history" button that removes all saved symptom checks from your device.
- Clear tracked data — each Health Calculator tracker and the Cycle Tracker can be cleared from within that screen.
- Delete everything — uninstalling the app removes all data stored locally on your device.
- No account to manage — because Javori doesn't use accounts in this version, there's no profile or login to delete separately.
07 Retention
Data stored on your device stays there until you clear it or uninstall the app — we don't set a time limit on it, since we never see it.
Server-side audit metadata (Section 3) is retained for 24 months for safety review and quality purposes, then deleted.
08 Children's privacy
Javori's self-care guidance is intended for adults 18 and older. The app's safety rules route anyone who indicates they're under 18 toward seeking care from a parent, guardian, or healthcare professional rather than self-care guidance. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we don't ask for or require any information that would reveal a user's identity.
09 Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information described in this policy, including restricting audit-log access and transmitting data over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
10 Jurisdiction
Javori is developed in Canada, and this policy is written with Canadian privacy law (including PIPEDA) in mind. If you're using Javori from outside Canada, your information may be processed in Canada or wherever our service providers operate. Wherever you live, you can contact us (Section 12) with any question about your data or to ask us to delete it.
11 Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
